See How Luxury Tour Buses are Crafted for the Stars | Crafted

October 25, 2023

Crafted is a short-form documentary series that highlights skilled makers, builders, and small business owners, focusing on the pride, process, and purpose behind what they do.

About This Episode

In the heart of Hendersonville, Tennessee, an unassuming facility houses a team of passionate craftsmen dedicated to creating more than just buses.

Meet Jeff Michael, owner of Celebrity Coaches, whose craft is far more than just providing transportation. It's about designing, building, and leasing buses that redefine the standards of opulence for some of the world's most talented and intriguing individuals. From renowned musicians like Carrie Underwood and Kane Brown to acclaimed bands like The Killers, Celebrity Coaches caters to a diverse array of touring acts.

In 2005, Jeff Michael saw an opportunity to resurrect his family's legacy in the bus industry. From a humble beginning with 12 buses, Celebrity Coaches has now grown to nearly 60 buses, each meticulously crafted to perfection. The facility, built from the ground up in 2017, houses a dedicated team responsible for every aspect of bus creation, from interior design to maintenance, ensuring that each bus is a testament to excellence.

The transformation of a basic metal tube into a state-of-the-art mobile luxury suite is a fascinating process. The buses begin as shells from Prevost, the premier choice in the entertainment industry. The artists are brought in, and their ideas are translated into tangible designs. From mood boards to texture choices, every detail is meticulously planned.

The heart of Celebrity Coaches lies in their interior shop, Celebrity Luxury Interiors, where a team of artisans brings visions to life. The interior of these buses isn't just luxurious; it's functional, designed to be easily maintained, and equipped with proven systems. Building a bus in this industry is one thing, but Celebrity Coaches strives to build greatness on wheels.
