Day 14 we're trying Helsinki Distilling Small Batch Rye Whiskey from Finland.
Helsinki Whiskey Rye Malt is a mellow Finnish rye malt whisky. It is made using the best Finnish malted rye and barley. It is small-batch distilled by hand, and matured in carefully selected oak casks. Barley gives the whisky its velvety smoothness, and rye its spicy sweetness.
_Nose:_ Vanilla and fudge from the virgin oak cask, malted rye and freshly baked rye loaf from the distillate.
_Palate:_ Notes of vanilla, dried pears and figs, caramel, liquorice, herbs, coffee and dark chocolate.
_Finish:_ Long and lingering. Spiciness of rye whisky is evident
