Alabama Boss Tries a Polish Powerhouse: Spirytus Duch Puszczy (95% ABV!)

If you thought the world’s strongest beer was wild, buckle up—because Alabama Boss just cracked open something even more intense. Straight from Poland and clocking in at a staggering 95% ABV, Spirytus Duch Puszczy is one of the strongest commercially available spirits in the world. And thanks to our friends at Hard To Find Whisky, it just landed on the Rated Red set.

Nicknamed the “Spirit of the Forest,” Spirytus Duch Puszczy is normally used for crafting homemade liqueurs, traditional Polish tinctures, or, you know… stripping paint off your deck. It’s not intended to be sipped straight from the bottle—but that didn’t stop Alabama Boss from giving it a swig.

What followed was exactly what you’d expect: disbelief, some creative analogies about top fuel dragsters and haunted forests, and a taste test that nearly set his soul on fire.

“That sucked all the moisture outta my mouth… it’s gin on steroids.”

After surviving a shockingly small sip of the liquid fire, Boss gets experimental. He whips up a backwoods take on a “puss and tonic,” splashing the 95% ABV spirit into a glass of tonic water with a lime garnish. (Spoiler: it didn’t help.)

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to sip on something stronger than jet fuel—or need a new way to remove rust—this is the video for you.

WATCH NOW to see the chaos unfold—and maybe pick up a few unconventional uses for rectified spirit while you’re at it.
