Alabama Boss is back at it again with another episode of Jerk It, and this time he’s diving mouth-first into a care package from Boozy Jerky—yes, that’s beef jerky infused with actual alcohol.
From bourbon barrel flavor to rosemary garlicky pilsner, Boozy Jerky sent six different kinds of liquor-laced meat for Boss to chew through, and let’s just say… he ain’t complaining.
Right out the gate, the Teriyak Twister IPA impressed with a soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture and a surprisingly sweet flavor profile—nothing like the salty jerky you’re used to. Then came the Bourbon Whiskey variety, where Boss swore he could taste the barrel itself. “You’re not gonna get drunk off this jerky,” he says, “but it damn sure makes you feel something.”
He may not be an IPA guy, but the Spicy Citrus IPA made a believer out of him. Despite the name, it wasn’t too spicy, just the right amount of flavor and salt to climb to the top of his list.
Then came the Canadian-inspired Montreal Maple Spice (timing, right?), followed by Bold & Spicy Bourbon—which brought the heat and flavor Boss was waiting for. His favorite of the bunch? A toss-up between that and the Rosemary Garlicky Pilsner, which packed a punch of seasoning and stood out as a big flavor bomb.
Across the board, the texture was consistently soft, tender, and easy to chew—not your usual jawbreaker jerky. At around $7 for the 1.12 oz bags and $25 for the big 8 oz versions, it’s a premium product—but you get what you pay for.
