How To Make A DIY Dart Board

This dart board is a great way to spice up your man cave! In this video Amanda Mertz will be walking you through how to make a DIY dartboard.

What you will need:

  • Wood Pallet
  • Dart Board
  • Screws and Hangers
  • Stain and Polyurethane
  • Crowbar
  • Angle Tool
  • Chop saw
  • Drill
  • Tape Measure
  • Clamps
  • Pencil
  • Hammer

First, you want to make sure all of the nails are removed from the wood. Your wood should be 34 inches tall and 34 inches wide. Once you have all the measurements get to cutting. Next, lightly sand your boards in order to keep a rustic look to the wood. Next, make a shelf to hold your darts, measuring 4 inches out from the end of the board and then drill 3 holes 2 inches apart just enough to hold the dart. Do this on the other side of the board as well. Then glue the shelf to the board using a clamp. Next, lay out the baseboard and put the connecting board on top. Make sure to use your angle took to make sure it is square and then place a clamp on it. Now use your nail gun to attach the top and bottom connecting boards. Once that is done, it is time to stain and poly. Once you are finished, flip the dart board over and attach your hangers!
